About the role:

• Supervising and leading pipe-laying crews on-site.
• Planning and coordinating daily work schedules.
• Ensuring pipes and pits are laid/built to design specifications and quality standards.
• Operating and overseeing machinery and tools used in pipe installation.
• Conducting site safety checks and ensuring adherence to WHS policies.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and site workers to ensure smooth operations.
• Training and mentoring team members to develop skills and efficiency.

About you:

• Proven experience as a Pipe Layer Leading Hand or Supervisor in civil construction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of pipe-laying techniques, site preparation, and construction drawings.
• Experience operating relevant machinery and tools.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• A General Construction Induction card (white card)
• A valid driver’s licence
• Relevant industry certifications including but not limited to Certificate III in Pipe Laying, Dogman ticket
• Knowledge/experience in manhole and pit construction
• PE, PVC and DICL accreditations
