The Opportunity….
Ecosphere are looking for an experienced Operations Manager based in Melbourne, who is mobile to travel across Victoria, Queensland, Northern New South Wals and South Australia.
Executing your role successfully, with responsible and accountable for the safe and profitable operations of the Ecosphere Mobile Crushing & Screening Operations as a business unit, ensuring that regulatory and Company requirements are attained, and that maximum economic value is achieved for the whole business.
Working closely with the General Manager to define improvement plans and objectives that align to the Ecosphere strategy.
Your Key Tasks, but limited to, include…
- Grow Ecosphere’s revenue through improved productivity and increased operational capacity.
- Maintaining good relations with customers, associated industries, local government and regulatory bodies.
- Control, direct and plan ongoing maintenance, in conjunction with the management team, of all mobile crushing and screening equipment.
- To organise the day-to-day operations of the operations with the assistance of the management team and to maintain appropriate levels of staff, overtime and resources relevant to sales and production demand.
- To ensure that daily and future contract obligations are known and production rates, operators, time or stockpiled product, is sufficient to cover these requirements.
- Lead regular management meetings to ensure smooth running of the operation.
- To ensure the operations meets all statutory requirements necessary for their operation, health, safety, environment, mining, local Government and licence conditions.
- Responsible for financial performance of mobile crushing and screening business unit.
- Identify and recommend to General Manager the need for capital expenditure for replacement and/or modification of plant and equipment.
- To indicate also any expansion opportunities that may develop in the area.
- To control the implementation of authorised capital expenditure.
Here’s what we’re looking for…
- An energetic, innovative, experienced person who is passionate delivering high-quality crushing and screening solutions and related construction services.
- Demonstrated relevant and practical experience (min 10 years) as an Operations Manager/Mine Manager with at least 5 years in a supervisory role in operations.
- Significant project management experience.
- Be experienced in working with authorities such as local councils and service authorities.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills including subcontractors & work crews.
- Contract management experience.
- An expert in the fields of Crushing and Screening Services including Quarry Development.
- Have experience in consultancy to quarries and suppliers seeking quality, recycling and recovery of materials.
