The Opportunity:
Due to continual growth across our business, there are multiple job opportunities for experienced TMA Driver’s & Traffic Controllers to work across a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential subdivision projects

This opportunity is great for experienced team leaders and traffic staff wanting their skills to be recognized at a new company.
At Trafman Solutions, our fleet consists predominantly of take-home vehicles, and this benefit may be offered to the right candidate.

We pay above award and hold a competitive EBA including additional travel allowances and inclement weather pay & pay above award 

 Here’s what we are looking for…

  • TMA Driver’s – Australian MR Driver’s Licence
  • Traffic Controller – Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Relevant traffic control tickets:
    TC2 & TMI2 - High Volume Roads (minimum)
  • TMI3 – Motorways and Freeways
  • RIIWHS302E – Implement Traffic Management Plans & RIIWHS205E – Control Traffic with a Stop-slow bat
  • RIIRTM301E – Operate Truck or Trailer Mounted Attenuators ticket
  • Construction White Card
  • Experience on category 2 & 3 Roads
  • Minimum 6 months experience Team Leading
  • Demonstrate basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety
  • Have previous experience with truck driving (6 months experience minimum)
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, be reliable, and possess team player values
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and collaboration in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and team members
  • Be outcomes focused and have the ability plan and keep organised

Any given day may see you… 

TMA Driver:

  • Route Planning – TMA drivers may need to plan their routes efficiently to minimise disruptions to traffic while ensuring they cover designated areas effectively
  • Adherence to Regulations – ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including those regarding road safety, traffic management, and vehicle operation is essential
  • Assistance to Road Workers – providing assistance to road workers as needed, which may include transporting equipment, materials, or personnel within the work zone
  • Traffic Monitoring – continuously monitoring traffic conditions in and around the work zone, adjusting traffic control measures as necessary to maintain safety and minimise congestions
  • Emergency Response Preparedness – being prepared to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, such as accidents, incidents or sudden changes in weather conditions
  • Public Relations – serving as a representative of the organisation or agency responsible for the road work, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with the public or motorist
  • Documentation and Reporting – keeping accurate records of work activities, including traffic control measures implemented, incidents or accidents and any notable observations or concerns, reporting these to the appropriate authorities or supervisors as required
  • Equipment Maintenance – regular inspecting and maintaining TMA vehicles and equipment to ensure they remain in optimal working condition. This may involve performing basic maintenance tasks or arranging for repairs as needed.

Traffic Controllers:

  • Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events
  • Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans
  • Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures
  • Monitor traffic behaviour and or flow to ensure safety is always maintained
  • Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
  • Control traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public
