Contract Administrator

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to manage and assist with all contract-related activities for our civil construction projects within Northern NSW. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of construction contracts, basic project management and compliance, and will play a role in ensuring that our projects are executed smoothly and efficiently.

 

The Role

  • Contract Administration Draft, review, and negotiate downstream contracts and subcontractor agreements to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and project specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of contracts, registers, and related documentation. Ensure that all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Compliance: Monitor project performance and adherence to Head Contract terms. Address any issues or discrepancies and work with project teams to resolve them.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, project performance, and financial costs to project members.

About you

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in contract administration role within the civil construction industry is preferably Personal with knowledge of civil industry without CA experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Education: Any Business Administration or a related field would be advantageous
  • Skills: Knowledge of construction contracts, project management principles, and relevant regulations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing contract documentation and tracking project compliance.
  • Proficiency: Familiarity with contract management software and MS Office Suite. SAP experience would be highly advantageous
